The Eucharist is amazing! What a tremendous blessing it is for Catholics to receive the Body of Christ in state of grace during holy communion at Mass. The word Eucharist means thanksgiving. We give thanks and praise to the Lord at Mass, and we “taste and see” His goodness for us in the holy sacrament of the Eucharist. Christ’s supernatural grace flows into our hearts allowing His peace in our lives. We get a foretaste of Christ’s peace when we sing the psalms at Mass. Psalm 34 culminates what we experience during holy communion: “Taste and see that the Lord is good.”
Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the stalwart one who takes refuge in him. Psalm 34:9

The Hebrew word for “stalwart one” is geber which basically means a strong and valiant person. As Catholics, we find our strength and peace in the holy Eucharist.

I read about a saint in the Magnificat who directed his whole life to receiving Jesus worthily in the Eucharist at every Mass. As Catholics, we are called to do the same. We are called to live in communion with God in prayer, sacrament, Word, and deed.

The Eucharist is Christ! With solemn praise, taste and see the goodness of the Lord.
I am the bread of life. John 6:48
If the holy scriptures direct us to taste and see that the Lord is good, and if the teachings of the Church instruct us to live in communion with the Lord, we might consider the way we live our lives before the presence of God and His angels.
The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear Him, and he saves them. Psalms 34:8
