The Passion of the Christ can take on a whole new meaning when you think of Jesus going through the tribulations of His passion just for you. The agony in the garden, the scourging at the pillar, the crowning with thorns, the carrying of the cross, the crucifixion, and all of the other sufferings and mockery Jesus endured. He did it with you in mind. Jesus sacrificed His whole being in atonement for our sins, and that we might have eternal life with Him forever in heaven. This is the good news of the Gospel. Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ!
Passion to Ascension of Jesus Christ
Soul of Christ, Sanctify me. Body of Christ, save me. Blood of Christ, inebriate me. Water from the side of Christ wash me. Passion of Christ, strengthen me. O Good Jesus, hear me. Within thy wounds hide me. Permit me not to be separated from thee. From the wicked foe defend me. At the hour of death call me and bid me come to thee, that with all thy saints I may praise thee forever and ever. Amen. + Anima Christi
Passion Resurrection and Ascension of Jesus
Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Father, into your hands I commend my spirit”; and when He had said this He breathed his last. Luke 23:46
The heart of the Incarnate Word: Jesus knew and loved us each and all during his life, his agony and his Passion, and gave himself up for each one of us: “The Son of God loved me and gave himself for me.” He has loved us all with a human heart. For this reason, the Sacred Heart of Jesus, pierced by our sins and for our salvation, “is quite rightly considered the chief sign and symbol of that. . . love with which the divine Redeemer continually loves the eternal Father and all human beings” without exception. Appearances of the Resurrected Jesus
“When we commemorate the saints we are inflamed with another yearning: that Christ our life may also appear to us as He appeared to them and that we may one day share in His glory.” + St. Bernard
The Risen Christ’s Appearance to the Disciples
On the evening of that first day of the week, when the doors were locked, where the disciples were, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in their midst and said to them, “Peace be with you.” When He had said this, He showed them His hands and His side. The disciples rejoiced when they saw the Lord. Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you.” And when He had said this, He breathed on them and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. “Whose sins you forgive are forgiven them, and whose sins you retain are retained.”
Thomas, called Didymus, one of the Twelve, was not with them when Jesus came. So the other disciples said to Him, “We have seen the Lord.” But he said to them, “Unless I see the mark of the nails in his hands and put my finger into the nailmarks, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.”
Now a week later His disciples were again inside and Thomas was with them. Jesus came, although the doors were locked, and stood in their midst and said, “Peace be with you.” Then He to Thomas, “Put your finger here and see my hands, and bring your hand and put it into my side, do not be unbelieving, but believe.” Thomas answered and said to them, “My Lord and my God!” Jesus said to him, “Have you come to believe because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and have believed.” John 20:19-29

Christ’s Resurrection is an object of faith in that it is a transcendent intervention of God himself in creation and history. In it the three divine persons act together as one, and manifest their own proper characteristics. the Father’s power “raised up” Christ his Son and by doing so perfectly introduced his Son’s humanity, including his body, into the Trinity. Jesus is conclusively revealed as “Son of God in power according to the Spirit of holiness by his Resurrection from the dead”. St. Paul insists on the manifestation of God’s power through the working of the Spirit who gave life to Jesus’ dead humanity and called it to the glorious state of Lordship. Source: CCC 648
